Regional Director Sought

The Region of the Virginias is currently seeking statements of interest and applications for the position of Regional Director.

The primary duty of the Regional Director is to represent the components within the Virginias (Virginia and West Virginia) at the national level.  This position has a three-year term requiring the member to live and work in Virginia or West Virginia during that time. Regional Associate Director Needed

The term of the Society’s current Regional Associate Director, Michael Haslam Assoc. AIA, will expire in December 2012. The Regional Associate Director serves on a national governing board, and works closely with the Regional Director and the Regional YAF Director. This person will also serve on the Regional Board for the Virginias.

The nominating committee will meet in mid-August and will consist of two past presidents of the state societies, two past Regional Directors and two At-Large members in good standing. After receiving the nominations, the Nominating Committee will present a candidate to the Regional Board at its meeting in Sept. 21, 2012. Although there is no official form to fill out, please ask candidates to highlight their past AIA activities, their experience and expertise and what they hope to accomplish as Regional Associate Director. The only requirements are that the candidate be an Associate AIA member in good standing.
