Role Description
We have an extraordinary opportunity in our Arlington studio for a well-rounded licensed architect who is passionate about K12 architecture and has relevant experience in this market. We are looking for a team player who cares about quality design, client service and the built environment. We offer a clear avenue for growth and upward mobility, potentially as Market Section Leader for the northern region.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Architect – preferably in Virginia. Architecture and Architectural Design skills with 8 – 10 years K-12 school experience Office Leader skills in management of experienced and inexperienced support staff.
  • Must have team attitude with soft skills, capable of dealing collaboratively and cooperatively with staff, clients and consultants.
  • Strong Knowledge of K12 design principles, design quality, and design ability.
  • Understands and able to work in and/or manage all the workflows from business development pursuits to construction administration (well rounded)
  • Work with business development team in strategic efforts to win work.
  • Oversees K12 staff efforts in coordination with Studio Head.
  • Attends K12 conferences and joins firm’s overall K12 management discussions
  • Mentor staff, oversees project design, production and maintains client relationships.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills
  • Licensed architect in VA or MD: LEED AP preferred.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
