Resilience is the sustained ability of communities to withstand, adapt to, and recover from adversity. As we continue to emerge from a global pandemic and societal strife, we ask ourselves: how can we (re) build our communities?

Beyond new ways of working, what are the new paradigms for ourselves, our practices, our processes, our communities, and our clients? How are the design processes and resultant outcomes encompassing social justice and resiliency?

Join your colleagues Nov. 2-4, 2022 in Richmond (or online) at Architecture Exchange East (ArchEx) as we begin our return to normalcy, collaborate, and explore how the profession can expand the dialogue and contribute to a growing common understanding. Through the lens of (re)Building Community, we’ll explore how to:

  • Make the profession an ever-increasing service
  • Develop design responses and ideas to support our communities
  • Contribute to healthier communities and the overall well-being of their inhabitants

Registration is expected to launch in early September.
