Virginia member Lori Garrett, AIA, Director of the Higher Education Studio at Glavé and Holmes Architecture, has been named one of the 2014 Influential Women of Virginia by Virginia Lawyers Weekly.

The award recognizes the outstanding efforts of high-achieving women across the Commonwealth. The honors are given to individuals who are making notable contributions to their chosen professions, their communities, and society at large. Garrett was nominated for the award based on her efforts to reduce the obstacles faced by members of the architecture profession, including her work to found the Virginia Women in Design (VWiD) Knowledge Community.
