Colley Architects is currently seeking an Architect for our office located in Blacksburg, Virginia. This position requires a person that is a team player and can lead multi-discipline project coordination. Potential candidates should have a professional work ethic and the ability to interface with clients on a daily basis in order to provide exceptional customer service.
Position is Salary, Full Time, Minimum of 40 Hours per Week, M-F
Potential for future partnership / ownership opportunities with the firm
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in Architecture is desired
- Professional Degree in Architecture
- Registered Architect License (preferred) or on an active path to becoming licensed in Virginia
- Comfortable stepping into project manager position on smaller projects (production on larger jobs)
- Possess knowledge of applicable building codes in evaluating code compliance
- Hardworking and devoted to the creation of dynamic, engaging designs
- Ideally possess strong design and graphic skills
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Must exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership
- Must possess good time-management skills and strong organizational skills with strict attention to detail
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Fluent in architectural design understanding and coordination
- 3+ years’ experience with Revit
- Enthusiastic about being a lifelong learner
- Have a sense of humor!
