AIA Continuing Education Seminar

Seminars include 6 certified courses with 6 AIA/CES LU (HSW) learning units.  Space is limited to 40 attendees, per location, so register early.  Catered breakfast and lunch will be served by Maggiano’s Little Italy Restaurant.

Course Descriptions:

1. Fire-Rated Openings:  This course is accredited with AIA and qualifies for 1 AIA/CES LU (HSW).  This AIA accredited program explains the exciting, and relatively new, product category of Fire Rated Wood Door Frames.
2. Sound Attenuation.  Course #soundatten16, 1 AIA/CES LU (HSW).  Designing for sound control in walls and floors.  This course defines the importance of sound control in the building industry.
3. Weather Resistant Barriers.  Course #WPS101, 1 AIA/CES LU (HSW).  This course is designed to improve the designer’s ability to evaluate and select appropriate Weather Resistive Barrier to give the maximum protection against water damages and air leakage.
4. Custom Wood Door Manufacturing, Course #SIGDOOR1, 1 AIA/CES LU HSW).  This course covers the basics of manufacturing wood doors and decorative glass.
5. Designing with Daylight,  Course #AIAUNIT101, 1 AIA/CES LU HSW).    This course will better inform the designer on the benefits of using skylights in construction and how the product technology is moving towards a greener product that improves building performance
6. Architectural Aluminum Railing.  Course #CAR101, 1 AIA/CES LU HSW).  Performance capabilities of finishes used in architectural aluminum railing systems.  Architectural design features available for aluminum railing fabrications.
