What You’ll Do
VIA is seeking a highly creative and experienced NCIDQ-certified Interior Designer (Level III) or Senior Interior Designer with 8+ years of experience to join our design team. We’re looking for a collaborative team player with a proven ability to lead projects, mentor junior staff, and assume a senior or director-level role (or demonstrate the leadership and growth potential to achieve that level). In this role, you’ll translate complex client needs and architectural constraints into innovative interior environments. You’ll be challenged daily to navigate aesthetics, functionality, and budget, coordinating with consultants and contractors while managing space planning, furniture, and lighting. In addition, you will:
- Provide interior design services for a diverse range of project types
- Develop material selections, finish specifications, furniture packages, and custom lighting layouts
- Effectively communicate design solutions to clients, stakeholders, and project teams
- Stay current with industry trends, accessibility codes, and sustainable practices to elevate the user experience
What You’ll Bring
- Active NCIDQ certification with 8+ years of professional experience as an Interior Designer
- Comprehensive portfolio demonstrating relevant, high-quality work
- Understanding of space planning, layout design, material selection, and project coordination
- Developed network of product, finish, and furniture representatives
- Clear communication skills, a keen eye for style, and a collaborative mindset
- Fluency in current Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Bluebeam Revu
- Organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and ethical
Compensation
VIA aligns compensation with AIA regional standards, factoring in firm size, revenue, and local market data. The target salary range for this position is $80,000–$104,000, commensurate with experience.
