2026 Helene Combs Dreiling FAIA Fellowships Awarded

The Helene Combs Dreiling FAIA Fellowship promotes the reciprocal and substantial benefits that result from the engagement between our organization and its individual members. In doing so, it also pays fitting recognition to the model exemplified by Helene Combs Dreiling, FAIA herself.

This year, an award of $1,000.00 (one thousand dollars) was given to each of two recipients.

As a result of this support, Philana Quan, AIA, will attend the 2026 AIA Women’s Leadership Summit, and Aidan Brown, Assoc. AIA will attend the 2027 AIA National Conference.

We congratulate them. We thank the selection committee: Helene Combs Dreiling, FAIA, Brian Frickie, FAIA, and Shawn Mulligan, AIA. And we encourage those who wish to support this fellowship to contribute to the AIA Virginia Foundation.
