DESCRIPTION:Whether designing new buildings or renovating existing ones\, building owners focused on reducing cost frequently sacrifice energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies from their projects. \nPlease join the AIA Virginia COTE and Baumann Consulting on Tuesday\, May 14\, 2024 from 12:00-1:30pm for this Zoom webinar that will provide the audience with an overview of the Tax Code Section 179D (Energy Efficiency Tax Deduction) and Section 48 (Clean Energy Investment Tax Credit). They incentivize project teams to make energy efficiency improvements to their building’s HVAC\, lighting\, or enclosure systems and to invest in on-site clean energy systems including solar photovoltaics\, solar water heaters\, wind turbines\, geo-exchange systems\, fuel cells\, and battery storage technologies. This was done through the use of traditional trades\, authentic materials\, and following the road map of evidence\, precedent\, and archaeological findings. You can register onsite starting November 6th at the Richmond Marriott. \nArchitecture Exchange East (ArchEx) is AIA Virginia’s annual signature educational event which brings together architects and designers to deliver a highly-curated program of educational sessions. The event features an exhibit hall showcasing the latest products and services from vendors\, suppliers\, and consultants. Attendees can earn all or most of the 18 required continuing education credits over the course of the two and a half day program.
