The Virginia Society of the American Institute of Architects is seeking an experienced sales professional to market its media products to the construction and allied construction markets, to serve as facilitator to help construction product vendors build brand awareness, and to establish relationships within the architectural and allied community throughout the mid-Atlantic. Media products include Inform magazine, a member newsletter, exhibitor booths and sponsorships at Architecture Exchange East, and developing electronic communications vehicles.

HDR is in need of a Project Manager - Healthcare for our Architecture office in historic Alexandria, VA. This individual will function as a project manager for Federal Healthcare projects (hospitals, cancer centers, medical centers, etc.) and be involved in business development, managing contracts, clients and project teams. They will plan, direct and monitor all aspects of large multi-discipline projects or medium sized projects with high degrees of technical complexity and be involved with the production and coordination of several projects concurrently. The Project Manager - Healthcare will also conduct design/development and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with Project Managers, Project Architects and other disciplines. Finally, they will also work with the Controller and Principal/Business Unit Director for project reviews, and be responsible for training of personnel as established by strategic plans.
Experience Required:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture.
Must be a Registered Architect.
8(+) years of experience in healthcare architecture.
Must be able to lead a team on Healthcare projects.
Good planning and mentoring skills.
Computer literate with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project).
Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required.

HDR is currently in need of a Project Architect for our Architecture office in historic Alexandria, VA. The Project Architect will independently coordinate the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design, development and contract document phases of a project. This will include establishing client and internal meetings and participating in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. They are also responsible for coordinating workload through design development and construction document phases to complete documents on schedule, and will review architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines and then work directly with legal staff to establish and document parameters of the construction contract. They will coordinate with affected disciplines (via addendum, RFIs, CPRs and change orders) to incorporate agreed upon changes into the project documents, and will also provide, on an as needed basis, construction contract administration.

Project Architect/Interior Designer required for a fast paced corporate setting. The successful candidate must be able to work on multiple commercial projects and interact with clients. Interior Designer must be proficient in finish and furniture selections for corporate commercial tenants.
