The Virginia Society AIA and the American Council of Engineering Companies, in cooperation with the Virginia Community College System (VCCS), are hosting open conversations on the coordination of construction documents throughout the state.

Join Bert Jones, Associate Vice-Chancellor for Facilities Management Services and Ed Gillikin, AIA, Architect for the Colleges and Deputy Chief Facilities Officer from the VCCS as they lead an open discussion on how the architecture and engineering industry and community colleges can effect positive changes on the quality of the documents being produced for projects. Discuss systemic issues regarding how documents are addressed, reviewed, and constructed to ensure they are adequately prepared for the construction of projects.

Registration is open for the first of several roundtable discussions in Virginia Beach on Tuesday, April 28 at Clark Nexsen. Tickets for members are $20 and breakfast will be served.

Registration is expected to open soon for a session on May 29 in Roanoke.

These sessions have been approved for one (1) AIA/CES learning unit/HSW.
