The AIA’s recent launch of AIAU marks a significant advancement in online education for  architects, designers, builders, and others working within the architecture industry.  Now, anyone with an internet connection can access high-quality, interactive education taught by industry experts via streaming video and earn continuing education credits including AIA learning units (LUs) as well as HSW, GBCI, and RIBA credits.

AIAU’s rigorously-curated, on-demand course catalog features education on architecture trends, new materials and technology, emerging business opportunities, and more.  Three learning tracks—design, practice, and building science—make it easy to browse courses by area of interest.

The easy-to-use platform allows users to start a course, pause it, and come back later, picking up where the course was last paused. Course handouts can be downloaded and printed for offline use. It also simplifies the reporting process for Mandatory Continuing Education (MCE) required by state licensing boards: AIA member transcripts are automatically updated with course credit within seven business days of completing a course, and non-members can print certificates of completion for each course. Although anyone can take an AIAU course, AIA members also receive discounted pricing.
