Honors & Awards

The Virginia Society AIA oversees a variety of annual competitions and awards programs open to many participants. The Design Awards and the Inform Awards recognize excellence in design, while the Honor Awards acknowledge individual and group achievement in service, support, and practice, as well as design. The Virginia Society AIA Prize, a student competition, is awarded following a weekend charrette at the three Virginia architecture schools. The Prize for Design Research & Scholarship recognizes outstanding design research and/or scholarship in the field of architecture.

The American Institute of Architects has a long tradition of recognizing individuals and organizations for their outstanding achievements in support of the profession of architecture and the AIA. Learn more about AIA National awards programs, submission information, and deadlines. More>>
